Combining Sunset and 'Isha' Prayers

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad combined the sunset and 'Isha' prayers at Muzdalifa, performing three rak'ahs of the sunset prayer and two rak'ahs of the 'Isha' prayer with one Iqama.

Ibn 'Umar rep rte that Allah's Messenger combined the sunset and 'Isha ' prayers at Muzdalifa. He observed three rak'ahs of the sunset prayer and two rak'ahs of the 'Isha' prayer with one Iqama.
وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِجَمْعٍ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلاَثًا وَالْعِشَاءَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِإِقَامَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ

This hadith is about how Prophet Muhammad combined the sunset and ‘isha prayers at Muzdalifa. He performed three rakats for the sunset prayer and two rakats for the ‘isha prayer with one Iqama. We should also strive to combine our prayers whenever possible in order to save time.
