Sahih Muslim 1226j (Book 15, Hadith 189) #10124
The Command of the Prophet

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) commanded his followers to do something without saying anything.

A hadith like this is transmitted on the authority of Imran b. Husain, but with this variation that he ('Imran) said: We did that (Tamattu') in the company of Allah's Messenger and he did not say anything but he (the Holy Prophet) commanded us to do it.

QUICK LESSONS:
Obey commands given by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him even if you don't understand why it was asked of you .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of obedience and following the commands of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is narrated by Imran b. Husain that he and his companions did something in accordance with a command from Allah's Messenger without any verbal instruction from him. This shows us how important it is to obey and follow what our beloved prophet has taught us even if we don't understand why he has asked us to do something. We should trust in Allah's wisdom and have faith that whatever He asks us to do will bring benefit for us in this life and hereafter.
