Bathing a Person in Ihram with Lote Tree Leaves

SUMMARY: A camel broke its owner's neck while he was in the state of Ihram and the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded that he should be bathed with water mixed with leaves of the lote tree and no perfume should be applied to him.

Sa'id b. Jubair reported on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) that a camel broke the neck of its owner while he was in the state of Ihram and he was at that time in the company of the Messenger of Allah . Allah's Messenger commanded that he should be bathed with water mixed with (leaves of the) lote (tree) and no perfume should be applied to him and his head should not be covered, for he would be raised on the Day of Resurrection pronouncing Talbiyah.

Follow Allah SWT's commands, follow rules set by Prophet Muhammadﷺ even during difficult times .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man who was in the state of Ihram when his camel broke his neck. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ commanded that he should be bathed with water mixed with leaves from a lote tree, but no perfume should be applied to him or his head covered. This hadith teaches us that even when someone dies while they are in an important religious state such as Ihram, they must still follow certain rules and regulations set by Allah SWT and His Messenger ﷺ. It also teaches us to respect those who have passed away by not covering their heads or applying any perfumes on them before burial.
