QUICK LESSONS:
Follow God's commands even when travelling; Express your devotion through words; Wear two pieces of white cloth when entering into 'Ihram'.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about a person who went on a journey with Prophet Muhammad and fell down while in the state of Ihram. In Islam, when one is performing Hajj or Umrah they must enter into a state called ‘Ihram’ which requires them to wear two pieces of white cloth and refrain from certain activities such as cutting their nails or hair. When this person fell down during his journey while in this state, Prophet Muhammad said that he will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection pronouncing ‘Talbiya’ which is an Arabic phrase meaning “Here am I at Your service O Allah! Here am I!” This phrase is used by pilgrims to express their devotion to Allah during Hajj or Umrah and it serves as an important reminder for Muslims to always remain devoted to Allah no matter what situation they are in.
