QUICK LESSONS:
Apply perfumes during sacred states such as Hajj or Umrah
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of applying perfume before entering into a state of Ihram and after completing it. It was narrated by Aisha, the wife of Prophet Muhammad, that she applied perfume to him with her own hands before he entered upon the state of Ihram and again when he concluded it before circumambulating the House for Tawaf Al-lfadah. This shows us that even in times when one is in a sacred state such as during Hajj or Umrah, one can still use perfumes to enhance their spiritual experience. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us about respecting our elders as Aisha showed respect for Prophet Muhammad by applying perfume on him with her own hands.
