Places for Entering Upon Ihram

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the places for entering upon the state of ihram and was narrated by Jabir b. 'Abdullah to Abu Zubair.

Abu Zubair reported that he heard Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) saying that as he was asked about (the places for entering upon the) state of ihram, he said: I heard (and he then carried the narration directly, I think to) the Messenger of Allah .
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، - رضى الله عنهما - يُسْأَلُ عَنِ الْمُهَلِّ، فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ - ثُمَّ، انْتَهَى فَقَالَ أُرَاهُ يَعْنِي - النَّبِيَّ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the places where one can enter into a state of ihram. Ihram is a sacred state in which Muslims are required to observe certain rules and regulations while performing Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage. According to this hadith, Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that he heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) regarding the places for entering upon this state of ihram. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful and aware when entering into a sacred state such as ihram so that we can properly observe its rules and regulations in order to gain maximum benefit from it spiritually and physically.
