Continuous Fasting of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Medina

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the continuous fasting of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) since he came to Medina.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Bishr with the same chain of transmitters (with a slight variation of words and these are), that he (the narrator) said: " During any month continuously since he came to Medina".
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ غُنْدَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ شَهْرًا مُتَتَابِعًا مُنْذُ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates the continuous fasting of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ since he came to Medina. It is reported that the Prophet ﷺ used to fast continuously for a whole month, and then break his fast for a day or two before starting another month-long fast. This shows us how devoted and dedicated the beloved prophet was towards his worship and obedience to Allah SWT. He was an example for all Muslims, showing us how we should strive to be obedient and devoted in our worship as well. The hadith also teaches us that we should not take our faith lightly, but rather strive hard in order to please Allah SWT with our deeds and actions.
