Sahih Muslim 1070a (Book 12, Hadith 213) #9612
The Generosity of Giving Charity

SUMMARY: It is important to be generous and give charity even if it is something small.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: I go back to my family and I find a date lying on my bed. I then take it up to eat it, but then I throw it away fearing that it may be a Sadaqa.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of generosity and giving charity. Even if it is something small like a date, we should still give it away as charity. This teaches us that we should always be generous and willing to sacrifice for others in need. We should not think twice about giving away what we have to those who are less fortunate than us. It also shows us that even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference in someone's life. By being generous with our resources, we can help make the world a better place for everyone.

This hadith also encourages us to be mindful of our actions and think before doing anything that could potentially benefit others more than ourselves. We should always strive to do good deeds no matter how small they may seem because they can have a lasting impact on those around us. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us that Allah rewards those who are generous with their wealth and resources by blessing them with more in return from Him.
