Sahih Muslim 1065a (Book 12, Hadith 194) #9593
A Warning Against Dissension

SUMMARY: This hadith is about a group of people who will emerge from the dissension of the people and have distinctive shaven heads. They will be the worst creatures and a group closer to truth will kill them.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said that the Messenger of Allah made a mention of a sect that would be among his Ummah which would emerge out of the dissension of the people. Their distinctive mark would be shaven heads. They would be the worst creatures or the worst of the creatures. The group who would be nearer to the truth out of the two would kill them. The Apostle of Allah gave an example (to give their description) or he said: A man throws an arrow at the prey (or he said at the target), and sees at its iron head, but finds no sign (of blood there), or he sees at the lowest end, but would not see or find any sign (of blood there). He would then see into the grip but would not find (anything) sticking to it. Abu Sai'd then said: People of Iraq. it is you who have killed them.

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive for unity instead of division; Follow guidance from Allah; Avoid negative consequences associated with dissention; Respect others opinions even if you don't agree with them; Be patient when dealing with disagreements between others; Seek knowledge about Islam before forming opinions on matters related to religion or faith.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith warns against dissension, which is when people disagree with each other in an argumentative or hostile manner. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ mentioned that a sect would emerge from this kind of behavior, and they would be identified by their shaven heads. He also said that they would be the worst creatures, and another group closer to truth would kill them as punishment for their actions. This hadith serves as a reminder to us all that we should strive for unity instead of division, so we can avoid any negative consequences associated with it. We should also remember that Allah knows best what is right and wrong, so it's important to follow His guidance in order to stay on the right path.
