The Importance of Following Islamic Teachings

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of following the teachings of Islam and not deviating from it.

This hadith has been narrated by Sa'id with the same chain of transmitters, but no mention has been made of Alqama b. Ulatha, nor of Safwan b. Umayya, and he did not mention the verse in his hadith.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الشَّعِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِي الْحَدِيثِ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنَ عُلاَثَةَ وَلاَ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الشِّعْرَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ‏.‏
