Sahih Muslim 1031a (Book 12, Hadith 117) #9516
The Seven Who Will Be Protected By Allah

SUMMARY: This hadith speaks of seven people who will be protected by Allah on the Day of Judgment, and these people are those who have done good deeds such as being a just ruler, worshipping Allah, loving others for the sake of Allah, rejecting temptation from a beautiful woman out of fear for Allah, giving charity in secret and remembering Allah in private.

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah had said: Seven are (the persons) whom Allah would give protection with His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but that of Him (i. e. on the Day of Judgment, and they are): a just ruler, a youth who grew up with the worship of Allah; a person whose heart is attached to the mosques; two persons who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the sake of Allah; a man whom a beautiful woman of high rank seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer by saying):" I fear Allah" ; a person who gives charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the right hand does not know what the left has given: and a person who remembered Allah in privacy and his eyes shed tears.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about seven people who will be protected by God on the Day of Judgment. These seven people are those who have done good deeds such as being a just ruler or qust al-adl in Arabic. A just ruler is someone who is fair and impartial when making decisions that affect their community or country. Another one is someone who has grown up worshipping God or ibadah in Arabic. Worshipping God means to show love and respect to Him through prayer and other acts of devotion. The third person mentioned is someone whose heart is attached to mosques which means they visit mosques often to pray and learn more about their faith. The fourth person mentioned are two individuals that love each other for the sake of God or mahabba in Arabic but also part ways if necessary for His sake as well. The fifth person mentioned is someone whom a beautiful woman tries to tempt into an illicit relationship but he rejects her offer out of fear for God or fitna in Arabic. The sixth person mentioned gives charity secretly so much so that even his own hands do not know what he has given away which shows his humility towards God's cause or sadaqa in Arabic . Lastly, the seventh person remembers God privately with tears streaming down his face showing how devoted he truly was towards Him or dhikr in Arabic . All these actions demonstrate how important it is to live our lives according to Islamic teachings if we want protection from our Lord on the Day Of Judgment .
