Asma', daughter of Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him), reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: Spend, and do not calculate, or otherwise Allah would also calculate in your case.
This hadith teaches us to be generous with our wealth but also to use wisdom when spending so that we do not become wasteful or careless with it either. We should strive to find a balance between these two values so that we can benefit from both in this life and the next. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us that whatever good deeds we do in this life will be taken into account by Allah on the Day of Judgment; therefore, it is important for us to always strive to do good deeds no matter how small they may seem at first glance.
