QUICK LESSONS:
Respect those who have passed away, Prepare one's own grave before their time comes too .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the command given by Prophet Muhammad PBUH regarding leveling graves after someone has passed away. It was narrated by Thumama b. Shafayy, who reported that when they were with Fadala b.'Ubaid in the country of the Romans at a place called Rudis, a friend of theirs died and Fadala b.'Ubaid ordered them to prepare a grave for him and then it was levelled according to what he heard from the Messenger of Allah PBUH commanding them to do so. This hadith teaches us that we should respect those who have passed away and take care in burying them properly according to Islamic teachings, as this is an act of mercy towards them even after their death. We should also remember that we are all going through life on borrowed time and must make sure our own graves are prepared for us before our time comes too!
