EXPLANATIONS:
On the days of 'Id ul Fitr and 'Id ul Adha, which are two important Islamic festivals celebrated by Muslims all over the world, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to perform his prayer in a unique way. He would plant a spear in front of him as a sutra or barrier before he started his prayer. This was done so that no one could pass through while he was praying and disturb him. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful about our surroundings when we are performing our prayers and not let anything distract us from it. It also shows us how important it is to follow the Sunnah or teachings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH even for something as small as praying on special occasions like Eid.
