QUICK LESSONS:
Show respect towards those who have died even if you don't know them personally or are not related to them in any way .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about showing respect to those who have passed away. It is narrated on the authority of Muhammad b. Munkadir that he said he heard from Mas'ud b. al-Hakam who narrated it on the authority of Hadrat 'Ali that he said they saw the Prophet stand up for a funeral procession and sit down after it had passed by. This shows us how important it is to show respect to those who have died, even if we did not know them personally or were not related to them in any way. We should always remember that death can come at any time and so we should be respectful towards all people, regardless of their background or beliefs, as this was something that was practiced by our beloved Prophet Muhammad himself!
