Treat everyone with kindness and respect regardless of who they are or what they believe in .

This hadith speaks to the importance of respecting all human beings, regardless of their religion or beliefs. It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abu Laila that while Qais b. Sa'd and Sahl b. Hunaif were both in Qadislyya a bier passed by them and they both stood up out of respect for the deceased person, even though they were told that it was a non-Muslim person from the land. They said that a similar incident happened when Prophet Muhammad saw a Jewish man's funeral procession pass by him; he stood up out of respect for him as well, remarking "Was he not a human being or did he not have a soul?". The Prophet's actions demonstrate his belief in equality among all people - no matter what their faith may be - and his respect for every single life on this earth. We should strive to emulate this example set by our beloved Prophet Muhammad in our own lives today; we should treat everyone with kindness and respect, no matter who they are or what they believe in.
