Remembering loved ones with love , Praying for loved ones so they may receive mercy from Allah SWT

This hadith talks about how a person who has passed away can be punished in their grave due to the lamentations and excessive mourning from those who are still alive. It was narrated by Amra daughter of Abd al Rahman that she heard from A'isha and made a mention to her about Abdullah b. Umar as saying that "The dead is punished because of the lamentation of the living". A'isha then said that her father did not lie but he may have forgotten or made a mistake. The Prophet Muhammad then happened to pass by a dead Jewess who was being lamented and he said "They weep over her and she is being punished in the grave". This hadith teaches us that we should not excessively mourn for those who have passed away as it can lead them into punishment in their graves. We should instead remember them with love and pray for them so they may receive mercy from Allah SWT.
