Praying Before Delivering the Sermon on Eid

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Abu Bakr and Umar used to offer two Eid prayers before delivering the sermon.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Messenger , Abu Bakr and 'Umar! used to offer the two 'Id prayers before delivering the Khutba.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يُصَلُّونَ الْعِيدَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ‏.‏
