Generosity and Kindness

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of being generous and kind to others.

This hadith has been narrated by Hisham with the same chain of transmitters but (the narrators) did not make mention of the mosque.
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ، نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ هِشَامٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ

Being generous does not only mean giving money or material things; it can also mean giving time or attention to someone who needs it. Additionally, kindness can come in many forms such as offering words of encouragement or simply listening when someone needs someone else’s ear. Ultimately, this hadith reminds us that generosity and kindness are essential values that all Muslims must strive for if they wish to please Allah and gain His blessings in this life and the hereafter.
