Take a bath before attending religious gatherings such as prayers in mosques or churches

This hadith emphasizes the importance of cleanliness and hygiene when attending the Friday prayer or Jumu’ah. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that Umar ibn Khattab was delivering a sermon to people on Friday when ‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan came there late. Umar asked him why he came late and he replied that he had only done ablution after hearing the call for prayer but not taken a bath as recommended by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who said that one should take a bath before attending Friday prayers. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our hygiene and cleanliness when we attend religious gatherings such as prayers in mosques or churches so that we can show respect to God's house and also maintain good health for ourselves and others around us.
