Sahih Muslim 876 (Book 7, Hadith 75) #9172
Teaching Religion with Patience

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) was delivering a sermon when he was interrupted by a stranger who wanted to learn about the religion. The Prophet (PBUH) stopped his sermon and taught the stranger what Allah had taught him.

Abu Rifa'a reported: I came to the Prophet when he was delivering the sermon, and I said: Messenger of Allah, here is a stranger and he wants to learn about this religion and he does not know what this religion is. The Messenger of Allah looked at me and left his sermon till he came to me, and he was given a chair and I thought that Its legs were made of iron. The Messenger of Allah sat In it and he began to teach me what Allah had taught him. He then came (to the pulpit) for his sermon and completed it to the end.

QUICK LESSONS:
Take time out of your day to teach people about your faith; Spread knowledge of your faith; Be patient and kind when teaching others; Share knowledge with others in order for them to learn more about their faith too; Show importance towards sharing knowledge with others .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about teaching religion with patience and kindness. It shows us that even if we are in the middle of something important like delivering a sermon, we should still take time to teach people about our faith. We should be patient and kind when teaching others so that they can understand it better. We should also remember that it is our duty as Muslims to spread knowledge of our faith so that more people can benefit from it.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ showed us how to do this by stopping his sermon and taking time out of his day to teach someone else about Islam. He did this without any hesitation or complaint which shows us how important it is for us to share knowledge with others in order for them to learn more about their faith too.
