QUICK LESSONS:
Pray two rak’ahs before attending any obligatory prayers such as Jumu’ah or Eid prayers .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of praying two rak’ahs before the obligatory Friday prayer. It was narrated by Jabir that Sulaik Ghatafani came on a Friday for prayer while the Prophet Muhammad was sitting on the pulpit. Sulaik sat down without praying two rak’ahs first, so the Prophet asked him if he had prayed them yet. When he said no, the Prophet told him to stand up and pray them. This shows us that it is important to perform two rak’ahs before attending any obligatory prayers such as Jumu’ah or Eid prayers. It also teaches us that we should always be mindful of our religious obligations and not neglect them even when we are in a hurry or distracted by something else.
