This hadith speaks of the generosity of a woman who provided food for people after the Jumu'ah prayer on Fridays. She would sow Silq, which is a kind of vegetable, around streams in her farm and then pull out the roots from it. She would then put some powdered barley over it and cook it as a substitute for meat. After finishing their prayers, people would greet her and she would give them this food to eat with their hands. People looked forward to Fridays because of this meal that she provided them with. This hadith teaches us about being generous towards others and showing gratitude in return for what we receive from them. It also encourages us to look forward to Fridays as days when we can be generous towards others and show our appreciation for what they do for us.
