EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of praying in a mosque. It was narrated by Jabir that a man entered the mosque while Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was delivering his sermon. The Prophet ﷺ asked him if he had prayed yet and when he replied no, instructed him to pray two rak’at. This shows us that it is important to pray in mosques as it is an act of worship that brings us closer to Allah SWT. It also teaches us that we should not miss our prayers even if we are busy or distracted with other things as this will bring us closer to Allah SWT and help us stay on track with our faith journey. We should also be mindful of our surroundings when we are in mosques so as not to disturb others who are worshipping or listening attentively to sermons being delivered by religious leaders or scholars.
