Sahih Muslim 755b (Book 6, Hadith 196) #8921
The Virtue of Praying at Night

SUMMARY: This hadith encourages Muslims to pray at night, either in the beginning or end of the night, as it is witnessed by angels.

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger as saying: He who amongst you is afraid that he may not be able to get up at the end of the night should observe Witr (in the first part) and then sleep, and he who is confident of getting up and praying at night (i. e. Tahajjud prayer) should observe it at the end of it, for the recitation at the end of the night is witnessed*, and that is better. *: meaning, "by angels" (Sharh an-Nawawi)

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray during special times such as nights
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith encourages Muslims to pray at night, either in the beginning or end of the night. It is said that when a person prays during these times, their prayer is witnessed by angels. This means that Allah will be more likely to accept and answer their prayers due to this special attention from His angels. Additionally, praying at the end of the night is said to be better than praying in its beginning because it shows a greater commitment and dedication towards worshipping Allah. Therefore, this hadith teaches us that we should strive for excellence in our worship and make an effort to pray during these special times so that our prayers are accepted by Allah.
