QUICK LESSONS:
Offer prayers on time and do not delay them unnecessarily .
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) explains that after performing Isha prayer which is called 'atama by people, Prophet Muhammad used to pray 11 rak’ahs with a salutation at the end of every two rak’ahs and observing Witr with a single one. After this he would lie down on his right side until it was time for dawn prayer. When Mu’adhdhin had finished calling for dawn prayer and he saw it clearly, he stood up and prayed two short rak’ahs before Iqama. This hadith teaches us about how important it is to maintain a routine in our prayers as well as how important it is to be punctual in offering them. It also shows us that even though we may be tired or sleepy we should still make an effort to offer our prayers on time and not delay them unnecessarily.
