Sahih Muslim 336d (Book 6, Hadith 97) #8822
The Prophet's Prayer on the Day of Conquest

SUMMARY: Umm Hani reported that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed eight rak'ahs in her house on the day of the Conquest of Mecca and performed bowing and prostration completely.

Abd al-Rahman b. Abu Laila reported: No one has ever narrated to me that he saw the Messenger of Allah observing the forenoon prayer, except Umm Hani. She, however, narrated that the Messenger of Allah entered her house on the day of the Conquest of Mecca and prayed eight rak'ahs (adding): I never saw a shorter prayer than it except that he performed the bowing and prostration completely. But (one of the narrators) Ibn Bashshar in his narration made no mention of the word:" Never".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray mindfully with concentration
EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of the conquest of Mecca, Umm Hani reported that she saw Prophet Muhammad praying eight rak'ahs in her house. He performed each bow and prostration completely. This hadith shows us how important prayer is to Muslims as it was even done by our beloved prophet during a time when he was busy with other matters such as conquering Mecca. It also teaches us to be mindful when we pray and perform each bow and prostration properly with full concentration so that we can reap its full benefits.
