Sahih Muslim 521a (Book 5, Hadith 3) #8716
Five Special Privileges Granted to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) was granted five special privileges that were not given to anyone before him, including the permission to take spoils of war, the sanctity of the earth and its use as a mosque for prayer, support from awe from a distance of one month's travel, and intercession.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah al-Ansari reported: The Prophet said: I have been conferred upon five (things) which were not granted to anyone before me (and these are): Every apostle wassent particularly to his own people, whereas I have been sent to all the red and the black the spoils of war have been made lawful for me, and these were never made lawful to anyone before me, and the earth has been made sacred and pure and mosque for me, so whenever the time of prayer comes for any one of you he should pray whenever he is, and I have been supported by awe (by which the enemy is overwhelmed) from the distance (which one takes) one month to cover and I have been granted intercession.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was granted five special privileges that were not given to anyone before him. These included being sent to all people regardless of their race or color; being allowed to take spoils in war; having the earth be made sacred and pure so that it can be used as a mosque for prayer; receiving support from awe which overwhelms enemies from a distance up to one month's travel away; and being granted intercession. This hadith highlights how special our beloved prophet is and how much Allah loves him. It also teaches us about justice and fairness in warfare by allowing those who fight against oppression or injustice the right to take spoils in war if they are victorious. Additionally it shows us how important it is for Muslims everywhere around the world that we have access to mosques wherever we go so we can pray at any time without having any restrictions on where we can pray or when we can pray. Finally this hadith reminds us about Allah’s mercy towards his beloved prophet by granting him intercession on Judgment Day which will benefit all believers who follow his teachings faithfully throughout their lives.
