QUICK LESSONS:
Pray to God with sincerity; Stand up against injustice whenever it occurs; Be kind and forgiving towards others

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was known to be a very merciful man, but he also had a strong sense of justice. He would often pray for the punishment of those who disobeyed Allah and His Messenger. This is what happened in this hadith; Anas b. Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed Qunut for one month, which is an Islamic prayer where supplications are made to God, invoking curse upon Ri'l, Dhakwan and 'Usayya - three people who had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. This shows us that even though we should always strive to be kind and forgiving towards others, we must also stand up against injustice whenever it occurs so that justice can prevail in society.
