Show compassion and mercy towards others even if they have wronged you or your loved ones; Respect life no matter what religion or background someone may come from; Strive to emulate the example set by Prophet Muhammad in our own lives; Show mercy even in times of distress or anger.

This hadith speaks to the immense grief that Prophet Muhammad felt when he heard about the death of seventy men who were called “reciters” at Bi’r Ma’una. He was so saddened by this news that he invoked a curse upon their murderers for an entire month. This hadith teaches us how important it is to be compassionate and merciful even towards those who have wronged us or our loved ones. It also shows us how much respect we should have for life, no matter what religion or background someone may come from.
