SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led a prayer with Anas b. Malik and his mother or aunt, making Anas stand on the right side and the woman behind them.

Abdullah b. al-Mukhtar heard Musa b. Anas narrating on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah led him, his mother or his aunt in prayer. He made me, stand on his right side and made the woman stand, behind us.

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect towards women during prayer, Take responsibility for leading prayers when present

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how to pray in congregation when there are women present. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ led a prayer with Anas b. Malik and his mother or aunt, making him stand on the right side and the woman behind them as an example for others to follow in similar situations. This hadith teaches us that men should be respectful towards women during prayers by not standing too close to them or blocking their view of the imam leading prayers; it also shows us that men should take responsibility for leading prayers when they are present while women can still participate without having to lead themselves if they do not wish to do so. It is important for Muslims of all genders to understand these teachings so that we can all benefit from our communal worship together in peace and harmony according to Islamic principles set forth by our beloved Prophet ﷺ himself!
