Prayer of Peace and Blessing Upon Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to say a prayer of peace and blessing upon Allah.

'A'isha reported: When the Messenger of Allah pronounced salutation, he salutation longer than it took him to say: O Allah: Thou art Peace, and peace comes from Thee, blessed art Thou, Possessor of Glory and Honour; and in the narration of Ibn Numair the words are:" O Possessor of Glory and Honour".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَابْنُ، نُمَيْرٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ إِذَا سَلَّمَ لَمْ يَقْعُدْ إِلاَّ مِقْدَارَ مَا يَقُولُ ‏"‏ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ‏"‏ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to say a prayer of peace and blessing upon Allah. This prayer is known as salutation or salat in Arabic. In this prayer, we praise Allah by saying that He is the source of all peace and that He is the Possessor of Glory and Honour. We can recite this prayer whenever we want to express our love for Him or when we need His help in difficult times. It reminds us that no matter what happens, He will always be there for us with His infinite mercy and grace.

The values taught in this hadith are faithfulness towards God, humility before Him, gratitude for His blessings, remembrance of Him at all times, seeking refuge in Him during difficult times etc. It also teaches us to be kind towards others by wishing them peace from God's side too.
