The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that when we are praying, we should be mindful of our surroundings. A woman, an ass and a dog can all disrupt our prayer if they are present in the area. To prevent this disruption from happening, the Prophet suggested placing something like the back of a saddle in front of us while praying. This will act as a barrier between us and any potential distractions or disruptions that may occur during our prayer time.
