Sahih Muslim 511 (Book 4, Hadith 301) #8306
Guarding Prayer from Disruption

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that a woman, an ass and a dog can disrupt prayer, but something like the back of a saddle can guard against it.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah said: A woman, an ass and a dog disrupt the prayer, but something like the back of a saddle guards against that.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful when engaging in acts of worship such as salat so you remain focused on connecting with Allah through prayer.
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that when we are praying, we should be mindful of our surroundings. A woman, an ass and a dog can all disrupt our prayer if they are present in the area. To prevent this disruption from happening, the Prophet suggested placing something like the back of a saddle in front of us while praying. This will act as a barrier between us and any potential distractions or disruptions that may occur during our prayer time. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our environment when engaging in acts of worship such as salat so that we can remain focused on what is important - connecting with Allah through prayer.
