Sahih Muslim 505a (Book 4, Hadith 290) #8295
Praying Without Interruption

SUMMARY: When praying, one should not let anyone pass in front of them and should try to turn them away if they refuse.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah said: When any one of you prays he should not let anyone pass in front of him (if there is no sutra), and should try to turn him away as far as possible, but if he refuses to go, he should turn him away forcibly for he is a devil.

QUICK LESSONS:
Take your prayers seriously and focus on what you are doing without any distractions or interruptions; Protect yourself from evil by being aware of your surroundings; Turn away anything that could potentially cause harm or disruption during your prayers; Respect for prayer .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer and how it should be done without interruption. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that when someone is praying they should not let anyone pass in front of them as this can be a distraction from their prayer. If someone does try to pass in front of them then they should try to turn them away as far as possible but if the person refuses then they must turn them away forcibly because it could be a devil trying to distract you from your prayer. This hadith teaches us that we must take our prayers seriously and focus on what we are doing without any distractions or interruptions. It also teaches us that we must protect ourselves from evil by being aware of our surroundings and turning away anything that could potentially cause harm or disruption during our prayers.
