Praying with a Spear in Front

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed ablution and prayed two rak'ahs of the Zuhr prayer and two of the 'Asr prayer while a spear was in front of him.

Abu Juhaifa reported: The Messenger of Allah went at noon towards al-Batha', he performed ablution, and said two rak'ahs of the Zuhr prayer and two of the 'Asr prayer, and there was a spear in front of him. Shu'ba said and Aun made this addition to it on the authority of his father Abu Juhaifa: And the woman and the donkey passed behind it.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جُحَيْفَةَ، قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِالْهَاجِرَةِ إِلَى الْبَطْحَاءِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَالْعَصْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَنَزَةٌ ‏.‏ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَزَادَ فِيهِ عَوْنٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ وَكَانَ يَمُرُّ مِنْ وَرَائِهَا الْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) practice of performing ablution and praying two rak'ahs each for Zuhr and 'Asr prayers. During this, there was a spear in front of him. This shows us that even when we are surrounded by distractions, we should still be able to focus on our prayers. We should also remember that it is important to perform ablution before praying as it helps us to cleanse ourselves spiritually as well as physically. Furthermore, this hadith teaches us that no matter what obstacles come our way, we should remain steadfast in our faith and continue to pray regularly without any interruption or distraction.
