Following the Prophet's Example in Prayer

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of following the Prophet Muhammad's example in prayer and not leaving until he has prostrated.

Al-Bara' reported: When we were (in prayer) with the Messenger of Allah Allah none of us benfft his back till we saw he prostrated. Zuhair and others reported:" till we saw him prostrating".
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَابْنُ، نُمَيْرٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانٌ، وَغَيْرُهُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ لاَ يَحْنُو أَحَدٌ مِنَّا ظَهْرَهُ حَتَّى نَرَاهُ قَدْ سَجَدَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْكُوفِيُّونَ أَبَانٌ وَغَيْرُهُ قَالَ حَتَّى نَرَاهُ يَسْجُدُ
