Sahih Muslim 474b (Book 4, Hadith 225) #8230
Listening and Obeying Allah's Commands

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught his followers to listen and obey Allah's commands, and to show their reverence by prostrating.

Al-Bara' reported, and he was no liar: When the Messenger of Allah said: Allah listened to him who praised Him, none of us bent his back till he (the Holy Prophet) prostrated; we then, afterwards, went down in prostration.

QUICK LESSONS:
Listen carefully & obey Allah’s commands & show reverence through prostration whenever possible .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib tells us that when the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said "Allah listened to him who praised Him," all of his followers immediately bent their backs in prostration. This shows us the importance of listening and obeying Allah's commands, as well as showing our reverence for Him through prostration. It is a reminder that we should always be mindful of our actions, words, and thoughts in order to stay close to Allah. We should strive to be obedient servants of His will at all times.

The hadith also teaches us about humility; it is important for us to remember that no matter how great or powerful we may become, we must always remain humble before God. We must never forget that He is the one who listens when we praise Him, so it is essential for us to show our respect through prayer and prostration whenever possible.
