EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to recite a certain number of verses in each rak'ah of the noon and 'Asr prayers. In the first two rak'ahs of the noon prayer he would recite around thirty verses and in the last two around fifteen or half as many as he recited in the first one. Similarly, for 'Asr prayer he would recite fifteen verses in each of its first two rak'ahs and half as many in its last two.
