Sahih Muslim 435 (Book 4, Hadith 139) #8144
Straighten Your Rows in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructed us to form straight rows when praying, as it is one of the merits of prayer.

Hammam b. Munabbih reported: This is what was transmitted to us by Abu Huraira from the Messenger of Allah and, while making a mention of a few ahadith, said: (The Messenger of Allah directed us thus): Establish rows in prayer, for the making of a row (straight) is one of the merits of prayer.

QUICK LESSONS:
Establish rows in prayer

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that forming straight rows when praying is a merit of prayer. This means that it is something we should strive to do, as it will bring us closer to Allah and increase our reward for our prayers. It also shows respect for the other people who are praying with us, as we are all standing together in unity and solidarity. Additionally, this hadith teaches us about discipline and orderliness; by forming straight lines when we pray, we demonstrate that we are organized and focused on our worship of Allah.
