EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of ending his prayers with a takbir. A takbir is an Arabic phrase meaning "God is great". It was narrated by Ibn 'Abbas that he used to recognize the completion of the Prophet's prayer by hearing him say this phrase. This shows us that it was important for the Prophet to end his prayers in this way and it should be important for us too. We can learn from this hadith that we should always remember to thank God at the end of our prayers and show our appreciation for all He has done for us.
