Sahih Muslim 429 (Book 4, Hadith 129) #8134
Avoid Looking Up While Praying

SUMMARY: People should not look up to the sky while praying, as it can lead to their eyes being taken away.

Abu Huraira reported: People should avoid lifting their eyes towards the sky while supplicating in prayer, otherwise their eyes would be snatched away.

QUICK LESSONS:
Avoid lifting your eyes towards the sky while supplicating in prayer.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is a warning from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about looking up towards the sky while supplicating in prayer. It is important for Muslims to remember that prayer is a time of humility and submission before Allah, and looking up towards the sky can be seen as an act of arrogance or pride. Therefore, it is advised that people should keep their eyes focused on the ground during prayer so they do not risk having their eyes snatched away by Allah. This hadith also teaches us that we must always remain humble and respectful when communicating with Allah through our prayers.
