QUICK LESSONS:
Be accurate and honest when narrating something .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a narration that was told by one person to another. It was narrated by someone named Mis’ar on the authority of someone named Al-Hakam. However, in this narration, there were no words that said “Should I not offer you a present?” This could mean that either those words were never said or they were left out for some reason. Either way, it shows us how important it is to be accurate when narrating something and to make sure all details are included so as not to change the meaning of what was originally said.
