This hadith is about blessing the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was narrated by Abdullah b. Zaid on the authority of Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari who said that they were sitting in the company of Sa’id b. ‘Ubida when the Messenger of Allah came to them and Bashir b. S’ad said that Allah has commanded them to bless him but they did not know how to do so. The Messenger of Allah then taught them a prayer asking Allah to bless him and his household as He blessed Ibrahim's household in this world with favours and salutations as we know it today. This hadith teaches us that we should always remember our beloved prophet in our prayers and ask for blessings upon him from God Almighty just like we would ask for blessings upon ourselves or our families from Him too! We should also remember that even though we may not understand why something happens or why something is asked of us, it is important for us to have faith in God’s plan because He knows best what will benefit us most in this life and hereafter!
