Supplications for Needful Times

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that when a person is in need of something, they can make any supplication that pleases them.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Mansur with the same chain of transmitters and he made a mention of this: " Then he may choose any supplication which pleases him or which he likes".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِهِمَا وَذَكَرَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ ‏ "‏ ثُمَّ لْيَتَخَيَّرْ بَعْدُ مِنَ الْمَسْأَلَةِ مَا شَاءَ أَوْ مَا أَحَبَّ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the importance of making supplications when one is in need. It teaches us to turn to Allah and ask Him for whatever we need or desire. We should make our supplications with sincerity and faith that Allah will answer our prayers. We should also be thankful for whatever He gives us and not take it for granted. The hadith also encourages us to choose any kind of supplication which pleases us or which we like as long as it is within the boundaries set by Islam.
