QUICK LESSONS:
Respect all people regardless of physical limitations or disabilities ; include everyone ; serve your community ; show care towards your companions ; participate meaningfully in religious activities ; treat everyone equally regardless of differences between them such as disability status etc..

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the two mu’adhdhins of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. A mu’addhin is a person who calls out to people to come for prayer in a mosque or other places of worship. One of them was named Bilal and the other one was named ‘Abdullah b. Umm Maktum, who was blind. This hadith teaches us that even those with disabilities can still serve their community in meaningful ways and should not be excluded from participating in religious activities or any other activities for that matter. It also shows us how much respect and care the Prophet Muhammad showed towards his companions by appointing them to important roles such as being a mu’addhin despite their physical limitations or disabilities they may have faced at that time.
