Praying Without Water

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) went out for prayer and was presented with bread and meat. He took three morsels of it, prayed without touching water, and then left.

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah dressed himself, and then went out for prayer, when he was presented with bread and meat. He took three morsels out of that, and then offered prayer along with other people and did not touch water.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be grateful for blessings from Allah , Be mindful when praying
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of praying without washing his hands or face beforehand. He was presented with food before he went to pray, so he took three morsels of it as a blessing from Allah. After that, he prayed along with other people without touching water first. This teaches us that we should be grateful for the blessings we receive from Allah and not take them for granted. We should also remember to be mindful of our actions when we are in prayer - even if it means foregoing something as simple as washing our hands or face beforehand - because prayer is an important part of our faith and relationship with Allah.
