Sahih al-Bukhari 821 (Book 10, Hadith 215) #795
The Exemplary Worship of Anas

SUMMARY: Anas was an exemplary worshipper of Allah and he used to offer prayer in a way that was seen by the Prophet (ﷺ).

Narrated Thabit: Anas said, "I will leave no stone unturned in making you offer the prayer as I have seen the Prophet making us offer it". Anas used to do a thing which I have not seen you doing. He used to stand after the bowing for such a long time that one would think that he had forgotten (the prostrations) and he used to sit in-between the prostrations so long that one would think that he had forgotten the second prostration.

QUICK LESSONS:
Offer your prayers devotedly with concentration & focus on them without any distractions coming in between you & your Lord .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the exemplary worship of Anas, one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He used to offer his prayers with such devotion and concentration that it seemed as if he had forgotten everything else in the world. He would stand for so long after bowing that one would think he had forgotten about prostrations, and sit between prostrations for so long that one would think he had forgotten about the second prostration. This shows us how devotedly we should be offering our prayers to Allah, as this is a form of worship which can bring us closer to Him. We should strive to make our prayers more meaningful by focusing on them completely and not letting any other thoughts or distractions come in between us and our Lord.
