EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of ablution and wiping over his socks. In Islam, ablution is a ritual washing of certain parts of the body before prayer or other religious activities. It involves washing one's hands, face, arms up to elbows and feet up to ankles with water. After this process has been completed it is recommended that one wipes their head and neck with wet hands as well as their feet up to the ankles if they are wearing socks or shoes. This hadith explains that when performing ablution it is permissible for Muslims to wipe over their socks instead of taking them off each time they perform wudu or ablutions before prayer or other religious activities. This allows Muslims to save time while still fulfilling their religious obligations in an efficient manner without compromising on cleanliness and purity which are essential components of Islamic worship practices.
