Trimming Moustache and Growing Beard

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised to trim the moustache and let the beard grow.

Ibn Umar said: The Apostle of Allah said: Trim closely the moustache, and let the beard grow.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي جَمِيعًا، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ أَحْفُوا الشَّوَارِبَ وَأَعْفُوا اللِّحَى

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Ibn Umar states that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ advised to trim closely the moustache, and let the beard grow. This is a Sunnah of our beloved prophet which Muslims should follow in order to stay close to his teachings. It is important for Muslims to keep their beards as it is a sign of piety and faithfulness towards Allah SWT. On the other hand, it is also important for Muslims to trim their moustaches as it was part of Islamic etiquette during that time period. Keeping these two practices together will help us stay closer to our religion and its teachings while also maintaining proper hygiene standards.
