Sahih al-Bukhari 796 (Book 10, Hadith 191) #771
The Power of Saying "Allahumma Rabbana laka l-hamd"

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that if one's saying coincides with the angels' when the Imam says "Sami'a l-lahu liman hamidah," then all of their past sins will be forgiven.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "When the Imam says, "Sami'a l-lahu liman hamidah," you should say, "Allahumma Rabbana laka l-hamd". And if the saying of any one of you coincides with that of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven".

QUICK LESSONS:
Responding positively when the Imam says "Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah" by saying "Allahumma Rabbana Laka L-Hamd".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that when the Imam says “Sami’a Allahu liman hamidah”, which is an Arabic phrase meaning “God hears those who praise Him”, it is important to say “Allahumma Rabbana laka l-hamd” in response. This phrase translates to “O our Lord! All praise is for You!” If one's saying coincides with that of the angels, then all their past sins will be forgiven. It is a reminder to us that we should always strive to make our words and actions coincide with those of God and His angels so we can receive His mercy and forgiveness.
